Advanced Digital X-rays
Radiography is a valuable diagnostic tool. A radiograph (also called an x-ray) is a way to look inside the body and reveal information that may not be discernible from the outside. Radiography can be used to evaluate almost any organ as well as the bones.
Radiography is painless, safe, and completely non-invasive. It uses a very low doses of radiation. Because the level of radiation exposure needed to perform radiographs is so low, it is safe for pregnant females and very young pets. Radiographs can be used to evaluate bones as well as the size, shape, and position of many of the body’s organs. Radiography can also be used to diagnose bladder stones, broken bones, chronic arthritis, certain spinal cord diseases, and a variety of other conditions. We use a digital radiograph that allows us to send pictures to consultants who quickly get back with us about their finding.
Behavior Management
We offer solutions for a variety of behavioral issues that pet owners are faced with. Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both pets and pet owners, so it is our goal to work with you towards a solution.
There are many behaviors that can be negative or destructive, and many pet owners feel helpless in bringing peace to their home. We want you to know that we are here to help, and that undesirable behaviors can be corrected.
Boarding
While your pets are with us, we will do everything we can to give them an exciting visit. Dental Care

Hospice and Euthanasia
Saying goodbye to your pet can be extremely difficult. The process can be emotionally and mentally draining. We don’t want you to be alone at the end stages of a pets’ life, and we promise to do everything we can to make it easier on you and your pet. Most of all, we promise to treat each case with compassionate and understanding care.
Knowing when the time is right can be a difficult choice. There are many factors that go into deciding to euthanize a pet, and it is a personal issue that differs from pet owner to pet owner. But every pet owner is inevitably faced with making that tough decision, and we want to be there alongside you to aid in any way we can.

Microchipping
At Heartland Veterinary Clinic, we are happy to offer microchipping. Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It’s a tragedy that happens all too often.
But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet’s safety and retrieval should he or she ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your pet’s fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure and is completely safe.
Surgery
Your pet’s safety, health, and a quick recovery are our top priorities!
We are equipped for routine procedures such as: spay and neuter surgeries, soft tissue surgeries, basic orthopedic procedures, and emergency procedures. We also offer dental cleanings with our state of the art ultrasonic scaler and polisher. Our staff is highly-trained to deliver the safest, most advanced surgical techniques and support from pre-op to post-op.
Prior to any surgery, we will perform a complete physical examination. We recommend pre-anesthetic blood work to ensure that we are aware of every aspect of your pet’s health. Based on your pet’s physical condition and procedure planned, we then create a personalized anesthetic plan.
Throughout the procedure, our trained technicians monitor heart rate, breathing rate, blood oxygenation levels, and anesthetic depth.
We monitor all pets after anesthesia to make sure they’re warm and comfortable.
Parasite Prevention
The idea of your pet being infested with parasites is a disturbing thought, but it’s also a medical issue that can have serious consequences if not properly dealt with or prevented. Parasites pose a variety of health issues for our pets, who can be very susceptible to certain parasites depending on age, region, and other factors.

Pain Management
Pets in pain are often miserable, and we are committed to doing everything we can to keep them comfortable. We offer a variety of options for managing your pet’s pain, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for mild pain and steroids that provide significant relief. For more severe cases, we also prescribe stronger pain medications. While we do not carry glucosamine tablets, we offer the Librela injection for dogs and the Solensia injection for cats to help manage arthritis and improve your pet’s quality of life.
Pharmacy
